Happy 2012, shoe fiends! MyShoereka took a wee break at the end of 2011 but we’re ready to get back on the fashion-horse, as it were. So what better topic to cover than saddle shoes?

Santa knows me well, friends. I didn’t even send him a wishlist and somehow I still managed to get all kinds of footwear for Christmas. I’m guessing he’s a devoted MyShoereka reader!

Recently I got a request from a gal who’s working as a wedding planner. Her job obviously requires somewhat dressy footwear, but she prefers flats—and with all the running around she does, she needs something comfortable. So I set out to find her some inexpensive black flats for under $40.
